Harvey’s AI-assisted coding round, new in the onsite loop. The interviewer gave a coding task and explicitly asked the candidate to use AI, then added test cases and requirements and expected AI to update the code and the candidate to check the changes were correct. Part 1 was about LeetCode medium; parts 2 and 3 became systems reasoning: compare approaches, discuss trade-offs, implement one, and talk about atomicity and edge cases. What mattered: clarifying requirements, finding unstated edge cases and not trusting the AI blindly.
