HackerRank’s AI screening round, taken for a different role than the one asked about: verbal questions plus coding questions, much like talking to a human interviewer except it’s an AI, and it asks about your code too. An AI assistant is available during the coding question; you can ask it for the implementation or to review your approach.
HackerRank’s own SDE intern interview was run by its Chakra AI interviewer. It was one core coding problem, a rule based string classification task, followed by a series of follow-up questions and edge-case discussion based on the code the candidate wrote. They found the AI interviewer’s instructions clear and the flow structured.
